Tara Graham is the Publications Director for the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at U.C. Berkeley, where she also teaches reporting and online publishing classes to undergraduate students. She was formerly a Carnegie-Knight News21 Fellow and Annenberg Graduate Fellow at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she earned an M.A. in online journalism. She only uses this sorry excuse for an umbrella to keep her vampire skin from sparkling in the sun. *(MLIT)
Graham has worked as a web reporter and photographer for KCET’s SoCal Connected, as an online editor for the London-based New Statesman magazine, as the co-editor-in-chief of USC Annenberg's award-winning digital news website, and as an associate editor at Sugar Media, a popular Gen-Y women's network.
Her work has been featured in NBC and CBS news broadcasts and other online publications, including USA Today, MSNBC, and The Huffington Post. She is the recipient of USC Annenberg’s 2010 Penny Lernoux Award for International Reporting and the AEJMC's 2011 First Place "Best of the Web" Individual Journalism Award.
Graham can be found tap dancing in the dark corners of her imagination every dull minute of the day to a sold-out audience of -- none. Like most everything else, it's all for fun.
